OROSEI BEACH
Orosei
. The most conspicuous environmental feature in the Orosei region has for long been for its beach, which, thanks to the inland geological structure, combines a wonderful variety of terrain and scenery. The beach extends north to south for fully 18 kilometres, 4.5 kilometres of which are occupied by the stretch of granite sand from Osalla to Santa Maria. Here one finds large, imposing dunes, 2-3 metres high, screened by pine trees and with pools behind on either side. At its northern extremity, the mouth of the Cedrino river opens out beneath a basalt cliff.
