Locality:
CALA GONONE
Access:
Leave your car at the end of the road,
climb down the flight of steps and go towards the sea.
The areas are on your left and on your right.
Description:
Very good rock with overhangs in the area of the
stairs, vertical steep faces on the beach and near the
cave at the right side of the beach.
Recommended season:
Throughout the whole year. It is recommended not to
climb in summer as the beach is full of bathers.
Position /orientation
: The left area facing south, the right area facing
north.
Height:
From 15 to 30 metres.
Execution:
Ropes:
60 or 70 metres long.
Nailing / pegging :
Face is to re-equip with inox bolts, resin-anchored
inox bolts and secure belay stations.
Number of routes:
About 55.

Access:
Go from the bottom of the steps to
the interior of the gorge. 1st area:
RAONI on the left (top and bottom). 2nd
area: FRONTE RAONI on the right side. 3rd
area: VIP at about 5 minutes from the entrance of
the gorge you’ll find the first cave, go further
onwards for 20 minutes to the 4th
area. 4th area: PEDERIVA amphitheatre
on the top right-hand corner, at the area VIGIANI,
immediately after that towards the interior of the
bottom of the gorge; on the right hand at
distance of 200 metres continue for about 10
minutes and you’ll arrive at the new area. 5th
area: LACHER steep face with a small grotto on the
top left-hand corner (from the bottom of the
gorge). |
