LA POLTRONA (ischitriorè)- “THE ARMCHAIR”

Locality: CALA GONONE

Access: Before arriving at Cala Gonone, turn left towards the sports club; after 5 minutes you are at the foot.

Description: This enormous amphitheatre composed of solid limestone is a “must” for every climber; face climbing on slabs which aren’t vertical.

Recommended season: Throughout the whole year; during the summer months it is too hot in the morning , but there is shadow as early as 4 p.m..

Position / orientation: South-east side .

Height: From 20 to 170/200 metres.

Execution:

Ropes: 60 metres long for one-pitch routes (length of one rope) or two ropes 50 metres long for the long routes.

Nailing / pegging: Mainly bolts and pitons with cords. Some trees with cords.

Number of routes: There are about 60 routes.
